Pipeline Cathodic Protection Materials
Anodes, monitoring hardware and installation materials for buried pipelines, station piping, casings, grounding grids, AC mitigation and long-term corrosion control projects.
Send drawings or an MTO through WhatsApp or email. No web form is required.
Build a Pipeline CP Materials Enquiry
Start with the approved material take-off (MTO) if you have one. If selection is still open, send the design inputs below and identify which items need review. A product weight alone does not establish the number of anodes needed.
Buried anode assemblies
For prepackaged magnesium anodes, identify the model or required alloy weight, cable size and length, backfill requirements and quantity. Distinguish alloy weight from the complete packaged weight.
Ribbon and interference scope
For zinc ribbon, send the section size, total length, coil requirements and layout. State whether the scope is galvanic CP, grounding or AC mitigation; these functions need the relevant project design review.
Measurement and connections
Link each test station, reference electrode, cable and bonding box to its drawing or MTO line. Include terminal arrangements, cable schedules and installation locations so interfaces can be checked together.
For technical review: share coating condition, soil resistivity, design life, current demand if available, installation constraints and the applicable specification. If a value is unknown, mark it as unknown rather than selecting a model by guesswork.

Anode Materials for Pipeline Corrosion Control
Buried pipelines need a cathodic protection design that matches soil resistivity, coating condition, design life, current demand, and installation constraints. CathPro supplies sacrificial anode materials used by pipeline contractors, corrosion engineers, EPC companies, and industrial operators for new construction and maintenance projects.
Magnesium Anodes
Used where a higher driving voltage is required in soil. Typical applications include distribution pipelines, station piping, coated steel structures, and high-resistivity environments.

Common Pipeline Applications
CathPro anode products are selected for oil and gas pipelines, water transmission lines, buried plant piping, compressor station piping, road and rail crossings, casing protection, and AC interference mitigation near power corridors.
Information Needed for Quotation
For fast technical selection, provide pipeline diameter and length, coating type, soil resistivity, target design life, anode spacing concept, required standard, destination port, and expected delivery schedule.
Buyer Questions
Which anode is commonly used for buried pipeline cathodic protection?
Magnesium sacrificial anodes are commonly selected for buried pipelines in soil, especially where a higher driving voltage is required. Zinc ribbon anodes are often used for AC mitigation, grounding, casings, and confined installation spaces.
What information is needed to size pipeline anodes?
Typical inputs include pipeline coating condition, exposed steel area, soil resistivity, design life, current demand, installation depth, backfill conditions, and applicable project standards.
Need pipeline anode sizing support?
Send project drawings, soil data, or a material take-off list and we will prepare a matching quotation.
