Smart Cathodic Protection Test Stations

A smart test station is a conventional, inspectable CP measurement point prepared for defined sensing, interruption, logging or communications equipment. Adding an unspecified electronic module does not make the station technically complete.

CathPro supplies monitoring-ready posts, terminal panels, shunts, links, coupon/reference interfaces, cable entries and project-selected remote-monitoring hardware through a controlled GA, schematic and bill of materials. Cloud service, SIM, protocol and commissioning scope are stated separately.

  • Smart is a scope definition, not a product rating. The RFQ must name measurements, power, communications, data and commissioning responsibilities.
  • Manual field-measurement access should remain available where the operations procedure requires independent verification.
  • Cloud, SIM and third-party electronics may be supplied through approved partners; their warranties and subscriptions remain separately identified.

What makes a test station smart?

A defined sensor/logger/interruption/communications function integrated through an approved schematic, BOM, power design and data responsibility—not simply an enclosure with spare space.

Can CathPro supply the remote monitoring device?

A project-selected device can be included directly or through an approved partner when make/model, region, protocol, subscription and commissioning scope are agreed.

Which enclosure rating applies?

The project states the required IP, NEMA or IK classification. A rating is claimed only when the selected enclosure and supporting evidence meet that requirement.

What must be provided for quotation?

Send the station GA or mounting need, terminal/circuit schedule, cables, enclosure rating, monitoring points, power, telecom region, data requirements, quantity and documentation scope.
